America

Dan Deacon‘s music has been a part of my life since late 2008/ early 2009 when his charming Bromst LP it the shelves. In fact, I charted it at number two in my Best of 2009 list; only to be outdone by Phoenix’s Wolfgang Amadeus Phoenix, also amazing. So here we are, four years later and I still find myself cueing up classics like “Build Voice”, “Get Older” and “Snookered” like they were put out yesterday. I can’t say I’ll ever officially shelve those tunes, and why should I, but maybe they’ll see a little less play time with the release of Dan’s new full-length aptly titled America.

Read up on the title meaning while you stream the LP in its entirety over on Stereogum and check into Domino Records for several purchase options including 12″, digital, cassette as well as a fabric flag of the album cover (above).
