Livin’ For The City

I think this is a pretty good look for Chicago. Fresh off of their Second City Rhythm tour, Lee Dunn (Ghosts of Venice) and Garrett Shrigley (Adulture) have put the final touches on their new House label; Second City Recordings. With a roster that spans from Chicago to France, SCR are setting themselves up to be the one-stop-shop for classically inspired House music. Sounds like a wonderful venture, yeah? Well, in order for this dynasty to take off, they need some help.

In this day and age, it seems that opening a Kickstarter donation page is the most logical way to obtain funding for a creative project. So that’s what they did. With a contribution as little as $1 all the way up to $2500, you can both earn rewards (a copy of the release, shirts, a stay on their couch, etc.) and fund their first vinyl pressing.

As an added bonus, Second City Recordings will be throwing an album release party at the November 6 Dollar Disco weekly. Pay the $2 cover or get in free if you donate at any level on their Kickstarter.
