Kitchen Vibes

I recorded this mix last night in my kitchen, hence the name Kitchen Vibes. I mean, my turntables/ mixer/ monitors are all set up in my kitchen, so it just makes sense. Going a bit more “Dubstep” than my last mix for Chicagoist (check that out here), I was able to use a lot of songs that I’ve been wanting to use for a while but never had an opportunity to. Tracks like “Way Out West” by Jack Sparrow and “Get Her High” by Lunice are a couple that I’ve been just dying to put to work. I’d also like to call out lil Brookah for getting me on the “Ni**as in Paris” game.

Anyway, I’m pretty pleased with how this turned out, it was done in one take and there is no post editing so there are a couple blemishes, but I’m only a human being, people. I’m only a human being.
