Bort Sampson

Just because something’s simple, doesn’t mean that it’s dumb. Actually, with LA’s Samo Sound Boy, it’s quite the opposite. On his new EP, The Bandit, he creates frantic club tracks that are simple yet completely party-ready with vocal yelps and manic drums. Heavily influenced by club music from Philly/B-More, but also taking in elements of world music like cumbia and kuduro, it’s truly a fun record and is out right now on Run Riot.
