ABSTRAXION

Got some really interesting techno from Abstraxion, a French producer on Biologic Records. I guess I’m not really surprised that I’m feeling this so much seeing as I’ve been really into the deep/ tech house from the likes of Claude VonStroke, Voodeux, Lemon Popsicle and so forth. I think a lot of techno/ tech house/ deep house borders the line between technical and boring, sometimes it’s a very fine line, but Abstraxion makes it very clear which side of said line he’s on.

To illustrate that point, I picked “B and S” and “Vampyros Lesbos” off of his Temple of The Sun EP, which is set to be released in June via Discograph on Beatport. “B and S” gets right into the nasty and “Vampyros Lesbos” strings you a long with a synthesized medley before dropping the hammer.
