Got some stuff from Miike Snow, a band out of Sweden that may or may not have been a big part of the production behind Britney Spears’ “Toxic” and “Piece of Me” (thanks for the tip, Meg). Aside from their Top 40 accomplishments, Miike’s got a new jam called “Animal” out and I think it’s something to get excited about. The original feels like a straight up jam track with a groovy drum line that might help one get through a boooring day at work, while the Treasure Fingers remix offers up something a little more dance-floor friendly. The Crookers remix is where and myself seem to have a disagreement. I feel as if their remix is sub-par, where-as he claims that it is “banging” “good”. Whoever you take sides with, just keep in mind that Miike Snow’s new, self-titled record is due June 9th via Downtown Records.
