May 24 Crush Alert! If you haven’t heard of London’s new darling La Roux then you need to! This strawberry ginger ale beauty from London is poised to take over the indie rock scene. Her hit “Quicksand” has caught a lot of attention with her sultry vocals dancing along a piano driven disco bounce. The single was packaged up and released by Kitsune and shortly after, La Roux was quickly picked up by Polydor, a major indie label .
Her Quicksand EP has already dropped a couple of fantastic remixes which we have your listening pleasure. Skream brings forth a Dubstep remix that’s so amazing that I put it on repeat at least 5 times. Then our buddies at Nightshifters Label sent over the Hostage remix which bangs harder and seems to be a bit more built for the dance floor. To top things off, Quicksand has landed La Roux a slot opening for Lily Allen at various European dates this March, hows that for amazing?
