While Chicago is experiencing one of its coldest winters in 12 years, there have been a few parties doing their part in keeping us warm with dancing and good times. Go Bang! is one of those parties. The brain child of Chicago indie DJ circuit veteran, Jordan Z, Go Bang! is a party that is high style and high fun. This month’s party falls on Valentines Day Eve and brings one of the hottest DJ/producers to Sonotheque, DANCES WITH WHITE GIRLS (see previous DWWG post).
DWWG, the father of “thug house”, is a Philly born/ NYC resident who always brings a set that’s chock full of fun and energy. I was lucky enough to experience this dude rip LA apart when he was djing a packed Mexican restaurant with OBEY’s Shepard Fairey on New Years Day. As you could probably imagine, it’s extremely difficult to drag people out on the day after NYE, but the crowd must have heard about DWWG’s energetic sets and take no prisoners attitude.
