Enter Toronto’s LIONESS, who merge soulfully strong female vocals with thudding bass-lines and organic percussion to concoct an exciting disco-soul sound. Think Siouxie and the Banshees meets the Gossip. The level of energy is so high in there recorded music it’s a well placed bet that they are amazing live. They have already played shows with !!! and Hercules and Love Affair. They’ve also released an EP on New Romantic, which is available for purchase here.

The real story here is that producer’s CCENTURIES remix of a track from that EP “you’re my heart”. While the original and the PilotPriest remix are both gems, CCENTURIES readies “You’re My Heart” for the floor with arpeggios and horn samples.
